You don’t need to spend a fortune to create a beautiful makeup look.
In fact, you might be surprised by how many affordable products work just as well as the expensive ones.
Because building a makeup collection from scratch and buying high-end products for every step can get expensive quickly.
Here are some of my tried-and-tested drugstore favourites to include in your makeup routine. You can find them in most drugstores and on Amazon.
They’re easy to use, do what they’re supposed to and won’t make you feel like you need to spend hundreds on makeup.
L’Oréal Magic BB Cream
If you don’t want full coverage every day but still want to even out your skin tone, this is such an easy one to use.
It applies white and changes colour as you rub it in, so you don’t have to worry too much about choosing the perfect shade. It gives your skin a fresh, even look without feeling like you’re wearing a full face of makeup.
Physicians Formula Bronzer
If you have fair skin, you probably know how hard it is to find a bronzer that isn’t too orange, too grey or simply too dark.
I love this one because you can build it up slowly. It adds warmth and colour without looking heavy, so it’s quite difficult to overdo.
L’Oréal True Match Serum Concealer
This concealer is lightweight and thin but still gives really good coverage. I like using it under my eyes, on small blemishes or anywhere that needs a little extra brightness.
It’s especially good for everyday makeup because it doesn’t feel heavy on your face, while still helping you look more awake and polished.
NYX Buttermelt Blush
These blushes have the prettiest soft glow,
There are lots of shades to choose from, and they blend really easily.
They smell amazing, too.
Revolution Translucent Baking Powder
A good powder makes such a difference to how your makeup looks and lasts.
This one helps reduce shine and keeps everything in place without making your skin look too flat or cakey. I like applying a little with a fluffy brush or powder puff, especially under the eyes and around the T-zone.
Real Techniques Brushes
Good brushes make applying makeup so much easier. These are soft and easy to use.

If you’re into makeup, you’ve probably seen this setting spray around. It definitely deserves the hype.
It locks your makeup in place and keeps it looking fresh for hours. The only downside is the strong hairspray-like smell, but once that fades, your makeup will barely budge.
